1-November tuition will be a little bit different. Included in your tuition will need to be your costume rental fee if your child is in “The Nutcracker”($25) and your t-shirt fee ($20) if your child is in the second act. Or both if your child is in a ballet class and another class. Classes that are in “The Nutcracker” are: Ballet I, Ballet II, Ballet III, Ballet IV, Ballet V, Ballet IV, and all Company Ballet Classes. Students in the Act II “Let Your Heart be Light” are Tap I-VI, Tap Team, Hip Hop I-V, Hip Hop Crew, Boy’s Hip Hop, Contemporary I-V, Company Contemporary Classes, Musical Theatre I-VII, Jazz I-V, Company Jazz Classes, Tap/Jazz Combos, Ballet/Tap Combos, Tumbling, Acro I, Acro II, Pre-Ballet, and Creative Movement. When you pay for your child’s t-shirt please let the front desk know what size your child would like. All sales are final and shirts need to be ordered by next week. If you haven’t paid for your child’s shirt by next Friday they will not be allowed to participate in the recital since the shirt is your child’s top for the recital. If you do not let us know what size you need, we will order whatever size we feel is appropriate and if it is too big or small it will be final.
2-Tickets are $12 and will go on sale on after we return from Thanksgiving Break. All ticket sales are final. Children under 2 will not need a ticket. If your child is only in the second act, they will report backstage before the recital (in between 1:30-2:00) to check in and then can go and watch the first act with their family. Your child will need to wear their recital shirt so we know they are a student in the second act. During intermission your child will immediately report backstage so we can being the second act on time.
3-Dress Rehearsals: Saturday, December 12th is for the 2nd Act Only. Students will report in between 5:00 and 5:30 so we can get started promptly at 6:00. We are hoping to be done at 9:00. Your child can leave once they are done. The recital order will be posted in 2 weeks. For students in “The Nutcracker,” your dress rehearsal is on Sunday, December 13th. Arrive at 12:00 so we can get started at 12:30. I would recommend you have your makeup and hair already done so all you have to do is put on your costume when we arrive. The recital will start promptly at 2:30.

5-I am giving students 2 more months (until the end of 2015) to start cleaning up their water bottles after class or we will not be providing them anymore. Every day I come in here and throw away about 15 water bottles that have 1 or 2 sips taken out of them. I am starting to feel they are being wasted. If you need a water bottle during class then you should also need one AFTER class. So they need to be taken with you and not left in the studios.

 

Important Dates:

Monday, November 30th: Recital tickets are on sale
Saturday, December 5th: Mandatory In-Studio “Nutcracker” Rehearsal from 10:00-12:30
Saturday, December 5th: Music Recital. Times will be announced next week.
Saturday, December 12th: Second Act “Let Your Heart be Light” dress rehearsal at Riverbend High School. Students need to report in between 5:00 & 5:30 so we can start at 6:00.
Sunday, December 13th: “Nutcracker” dress rehearsal. Arrive at 12:00 so we can get started at 12:30. The recital will begin at 2:30. Doors will open at 2:15.
